Results of the “Genetics 2025” Conference

The three-day conference was attended in person by 1,201 participants, while 519 followed the event via online streaming. Specialists from 81 cities across Russia and 20 countries (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, USA, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Belarus, Germany, Israel, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, China, Czech Republic, Norway, Senegal, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland, Japan) took part in the event.

The conference was held across four halls of the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow, with a poster session taking place in the hotel lobby. Speakers presented their reports in 23 sessions covering key trends in genetic research worldwide. In addition, there were four plenary sessions and two round tables. Around 120 participants presented their research at the poster session. A PhD student competition was also held within this session, with eight finalists presenting on the final day during a special doctoral session. A panel selected three winners from these finalists. Prizes for the presentations were awarded by the Director of VIGG RAS, Andrey Misyurin, during the closing ceremony: 1st place – 50 000 RUB, 2nd place – 30 000 RUB, 3rd place – 20 000 RUB, and finalists – 10 000 RUB each.

The conference was sponsored by Helicon, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Evogen, SkyGen, Roche Diagnostics Rus, Diaem, BioChemMac, GenTerra, CKDN, Sesana, Lumiprob RUS, Sintol, GenoTechnology, and Laboratory of Knowledge. The information sponsor was the digital media outlet PCR.news. The general partner of the conference was the Association “Society of Hematologists, Oncologists, and Transplantologists.”

Several sponsors hosted satellite symposia, contributed reports to regular sessions, and Helicon, the platinum sponsor, organized a round table titled “Genetics of the Future: Challenges and Breakthroughs.”

It was decided to make this conference an annual event.
